Fine Arts Festival - 2007
The Fine Arts Festival celebrates the four arts strands taught in NLSD #113. Students and staff participate in Dance, Music, Visual Arts, and Drama. We try to "change it up" from year to year.
Dance this year was Miss Burym teaching Ukranian Dance, the Misses Dewling taught hip hop, and Florence Janvier brought in Martin and Crystal Montgrand to teach old time dancing again.
Music was guest artists Teresa Bishop and Kevin Joseph with Mike Simon as well as the stylings of Mr. Kolbeck.
Visual Arts was 2D and 3D. This year Ms. Blagdon led in the creation of the great multicolored snow wall, Ms. Wilson taught soap carving, and special guest Debby Noble joined us. Ms. Green had the scrapbooking and you can see the photos up all around the school.
Drama was improv games with Ms. Amer, Script Reading with Mr. Powers, and the art of stage fighting and blocking with Ms. Poole on our new stage.
We are lucky to have so many talented teachers and community members to help out with the festival and really thank all the students who participated.
